This is an imposing but graceful wine that is presently exceptionally firm and like the Grands Echézeaux
with 13% alcohol and good freshness
with notes of charcoal
This is austere but not really rustic and should amply reward mid to long-term cellaring
this is pretty and perfectly nice but it's not a great Musigny
The wines from the extremely hot drought year
this is very much built-to-age yet the copious dry extract will permit this to be enjoyed on the younger side
sandalwood and Asian-style tea aromas
There is a really lovely sense of underlying tension suffusing the much more mineral-driven middle weight flavors that are not quite as rich but notably more precise on the chiseled and wonderfully refined finish
It is fresh and well-defined with red fruit aromas
even more youthful than the 1989 and 1990
earth and a more discreet touch of wood
