this is actually a bit less complex than the Richebourg though I would expect that to change with extended bottle aging

and mind-boggling

all wrapped in a firm and moderately robust finish underpinned by firm tannins and beautiful persistence

firm and beautifully balanced finale

with sweet melted tannins nicely integrated

A much more floral-inflected nose is equally fresh and ripe with a broader range of spice elements adding breadth to the pretty red and blue pinot fruit aromas that are trimmed in noticeable if not invasive wood

in 2005 this is as big and powerful as the Bonnes Mares yet finer with superbly deep and energetic full-bodied flavors that are sleekly muscled

This is definitely a "buy and forget you own it" wine as I would advise not touching a bottle for at least 10 years and 15 to 20 would likely be better
