A very fine and fresh unused, with original gum, block of four. The lower pair are, exceptionally, unmounted mint with full original gum. Superb colour. A very rare multiple of this Government Official stamp. The Government Parcels overprints were issued to all departments, including Head Office, for use on parcels weighing over 3lb. Below this weight government parcels were sent by

unusually underpaid at 2 shillings and not the correct rate of 2s3d that was in use from 1840 to 1863
